This composite is just that - a collection of articles and pictures about descendants of Henry King that I have collected. As background, Allen King started this collection when he began researching the genealogy of his family. He compiled his information into a pamphlet that he shared with us at the reunion in 1992. Sometime before that reunion, my brother John King purchased a genealogy software program and contacted Allen, who shared the information that he had put together. John created a King family database and printed a family tree of the information he had and brought it to the 1992 reunion. After that reunion, he added the information written on the tree to his database. Early in 1995, I got the tree from John and updated the tree for the 1995 reunion. In 1997, I got the database and software from John and took over the additions to the information. Between my son, and myself, we created a website and put the family tree on the web site hoping that more people would access the web-page and fill in some of the missing information. For this 1998 family reunion, I have printed the family tree in it's entirety as a box chart for most probably the last time. The tree is 55 feet long and 9 generations deep. I have included a more manageable family tree, with instructions, in this collection but printed the box chart for emphasis. I have also included a couple of newspaper articles (one of them I transcribed) as well as a couple of old photographs with keys for the identities of the persons pictured. This is strictly an informational collection for our enjoyment. I'm sure there are mistakes and if you point them out to me, I'll certainly correct them. Please add information and corrections to the box chart family tree and I will incorporate them into the database and the web-page as soon as I can.
